This Web site is published and maintained by HERS INFORMATION NETWORKING PTE LTD (hereinafter referred as HERS). This Privacy Policy governs HERS’ collection of information on this site and our use and disclosure of such information. Except as set forth herein, this Privacy Policy does not apply to information HERS collects in connection with your subscription to any of our print publications.

Purpose
Your privacy is a serious matter to HERS in order to make your visits to our sites as worthwhile as possible, we collect certain information from your computer each time you visit us and sometimes we ask you for Personal Information. This privacy statement explains what Personal Information is collected on SCENE.COM.SG, including how the information is used, and with whom we may share such information. Please take a few minutes to read our privacy policy so that you understand how we treat your personal information.

Right to Opt Out
You have the right to “opt-out” of certain uses of your Personal Information. At the time you are requested to provide Personal Information on this Site, you may have the opportunity to elect to, or not to, receive e-mail offers from HERS or have your Personal Information shared with other companies. Also, a request to have us stop sharing your Personal Information with other companies will only apply going forward from the date of the request, and HERS will not be responsible for any communications that you may receive from companies that received your Personal Information prior to such request. HERS does not collect any Personal Information such as name, address or e-mail address on its Web sites without the knowledge and consent of the individual submitting such information. Such information is collected, for example, through registration forms and contests and through voluntary online questionnaires that appear from time to time on SCENE.COM.SG. “Personal Information,” includes your name, home or other address, e-mail address, telephone number, and/or any other information that may identify you or allow online or offline contact with you.

You may review the Personal Information that you have provided to SCENE.COM.SG by e-mailing sceneco@scene.com.sg. We will send you a copy of such Personal Information we have on file in your user account (if any). You may send us new or updated information at any time via e-mail or mail.

Our server automatically collects data about your server’s domain address when you visit us. This information, known as an Internet Protocol address, or IP Address, is a number that’s automatically assigned to your computer by your Internet service provider whenever you’re on the Web. When you request pages from SCENE.COM.SG, our servers log your IP Address. Our server may also record the referring page that linked you to us, e.g., another Web site or search engine. Our server cannot automatically record your name or address, but we may link this information with your Personal Information.

We will use the Personal Information you provide to our Web sites to fulfill a specific purpose. For example, Personal Information will be used to enter you in a contest, to send an e-newsletter or fulfill a product or service order. If you provide information to HERS in connection with a contest or other promotion that is being conducted with another entity or Web site, the information you provide may be used for the purpose for which you provided the information and may be shared with that partner. Your Personal Information may also be used for other purposes that may be disclosed at the time your information is requested.

HERS reserves the right to analyze user behavior as a measure of interest in and use of the SCENE.COM.SG and e-mails. HERS may disclose such analyses to advertisers or other third parties in the form of aggregate data, such as overall patterns or demographic reports that do not describe or identify any individual user.

E-mail
If you contact HERS by e-mail, you should be aware that e-mail transmission might not be secure. A third party could view information you send by e-mail in transit. HERS will have no liability for disclosure of your information due to errors or unauthorized acts of third parties during transmission.

Service Providers

By providing Personal Information to this Site, you understand and consent to the collection, maintenance, processing and transfer of such information in and to the United States and other countries and territories. HERS does not control sites that are operated by others and is not responsible for the information practices of these sites and this privacy statement does not address the information practices of those web sites or advertisers.

HERS' Right to Change this Policy
HERS reserves the right to change or update this Privacy Policy, or any otherHERS policy or practice, at any time and will notify users of such changes or updates by posting them on the Site and/or by additional means as determined to be appropriate under the circumstances. Any changes or updates will be effective immediately upon posting to the Site

HERS will take reasonable steps to protect the security and integrity of all Personal Information provided to the SCENE.COM.SG. However, due to the inherent nature of the Internet as an open global communications vehicle, HERS cannot guarantee that this information will be absolutely safe from intrusion by others, such as hackers. Any unauthorized access to or use of the SCENE.COM.SG or information collected and maintained by the SCENE.COM.SG should be immediately brought to the attention of HERS at the e-mail address below.
